About

Hi! My name is Mert, and I’m the founder of fruitful apps, where I focus on making simple, useful apps for Apple platforms.

I’ve been a developer since 2016, starting with backend development using Ruby on Rails, then moving into React (TypeScript) and mobile development with React Native. I’ve worked at companies like XING, a big professional network in the DACH region, and Shopify, the leading e-commerce platform, where I built features used by millions.

While working as a developer, I noticed that companies often don’t prioritize what users really need. Users give feedback and ask for certain features, but companies tend to focus more on their own business goals. As a developer, you’re also often building features you wouldn’t use yourself, which makes it harder to understand the user’s perspective.

This led me to create a company that focuses purely on users’ needs. Since I’m working solo, I decided to focus on apps for Apple platforms because they make it easier to handle things like app distribution and payments, so I can spend more time improving the user experience. Plus, Apple offers a lot of free tools, so I can quickly test new ideas and turn them into real apps.

All the apps I’ve made so far come from solving problems I’ve personally faced. I develop them for myself first, and then for others. I use my own apps almost every day. After releasing an app, I pay close attention to user feedback and make updates based on that, which helps me keep users happy while making enough to support myself.

One of my top priorities while developing apps is protecting users’ privacy. None of my apps collect data. While this means I can’t see which features are used most, I prefer to rely on direct feedback from users rather than tracking everything they do.

If you’re using one of my apps, please leave a review on the App Store—it really helps me reach more people. And if you have any feedback or just want to say hi, feel free to get in touch!
